An eco-friendly homestay, Mangaal is a microcosm of the Goa of yore, the true, pristine Goa. It is a venture that works tirelessly with the local village folk, rekindling their interest and skill in organic farming and indigenous crafts.
Accommodation
The architecture of the house blends with the rural and its natural surroundings. The house is encompassed with tropical flowers and fruitful plants. There are 5 rooms with warm luxuries of wooden beds, cozy canopies, mosquito nets, clean and well-lit ensuite bathrooms and hot water. There is no Television or Internet at Home. The guests who wish to stay will understand us. We promise you will find a better connection.
Deluxe Room
There are two deluxe rooms situated along the passage from the living hall leading to the community dining area and Kitchen. The passage is screened with Asparagus Ferns and Geranium plants.
There are three standard rooms located on a shared veranda which has wooden plank seating and screened by blossoming Ginger Lily flowers. One room has twin beds, while the other two have queen size double beds.
A culinary experience is offered every day. Savour our farm-to-table home-cooked food prepared by Chef Sulaksha, who has won the hearts of most of our guests and visitors! Give her an opportunity to whip up her recipes with freshly plucked seasonal vegetables, sprouts, microgreens, farm-grown probiotic drinks, herbal infusions, and fresh fruits – and experience a Goan la dolce vita. If you’d like to add chicken or fish, just let us know in advance and we’ll be happy to oblige.

Communal Dining table is where all comes together; with daily harvests, an evolving
community of guests and the shifting magic of the seasons, the food and conversation are
never the same. Meet the owner and other guests at meal times in the cozy dining room facing an open kitchen, looking out to the gardens around.
Our retreat prioritizes quality and source of food. Chef Sulaksha uses farm-fresh ingredients, ensuring fresh, wholesome meals free from chemicals. We focus on natural flavors, avoiding excessive spices or artificial additives. No preservatives or refined oils are used, promoting overall well-being. Our culinary experience fosters a harmonious connection between food and health.
The farm stay offers amenities that cater to the desire to unwind, relax, and rejuvenate. Water Garden
The Water Garden in Mangaal is a tranquil oasis surrounded by ancient trees and a rain-fed stream. Come and embrace the blend of nature and tradition for a peaceful experience.
Living space has a tropical rural design of a tradition courtyard or “Aangan” which has been incorporated inside the living room. This allows the hot air to rise and cool air to move in which results in keeping the place cool throughout the year. It also allows the healing energy of the nature to flow through and one can benefit from the same as and when you need.
Rediscover your bond with the water element at our free-form pool, which is encompassed by a serene Buddha Bamboo grove and Palm trees. Relax by the thatched bamboo hut and relish the soothing sound of spring water cascading into the pool.
We cultivate our own vegetables and foraging herbs and seasonal greens from the forest. To explore our farm, you can take a walk through a 500-meter pathway that runs from the greenhouses and vegetable gardens, through the bamboo groves, all-spice groves, wax ginger flower area, riverside workshop, and finally, the fruit garden that leads to the distillation shed known as Gutta. Our host will guide you through the various processes and practices followed on the farm, which takes approximately an hour to complete.
We offer a farm stay and farm infrastructure for teachers organizing yoga retreats, panchakarma retreats, or workshops. Our serene accommodations, dedicated yoga spaces, wellness facilities, farm-to-table dining, and recreational activities create an ideal environment for transformative experiences.
